catching up....

now that i have a laptop and able to do things on a 14" screen with a full keyboard instead of my ipod touch, i have so much to catch up on....

start applications to the credential programs, apply for jobs, print off coupons, update blog, google reader (this is a daunting task) and watch movies again on my laptop while sewing

it's been a busy couple of weeks for me. i made an apron for connie (soon-to-be mrs. pyo).

i finally finished the curtains for the liaos and delivered them this afternoon (forgot to take pics - will do next time i'm there) and need to start the aprons for esther's two nieces. i have a few other projects i need to plan and get started on. stay tuned for those updates.

time to eat dinner...

multitasking...

waited for fedex to arrive with my new laptop all morning and day. they finally came around 3pm. while waiting, i baked some cookies (batch was made by 2 lovely ladies, jessica and monster, on sat) and practiced the piano. if you're wondering about the big tractor, my apt complex is getting a little face lift. they worked on the roof and now are fixing up the parking spots. it's very noisy and feels like an earthquake this morning when they were digging up the lot.

momentarily offline....

after almost 8 years of loyalty and frustration, my laptop finally gave out. i still have my sister's macbook, but it's being resuscitated by a friend...hopefully will be fully recovered, but if not, i'll have to buy a new comp. i've been emailing, facebooking and google reading off of my trusty ipod touch. right now i'm using my dad's laptop while he's at work.

renegade craft fair - LA

a few friends and i went to the renegade craft fair in LA a couple of saturdays ago. there was soooooo much to see that i could barely take any pictures. i was so amazed by all the creativity and felt a little weird taking pictures, even more weird and awkward asking about their inspiration and blogs (since i'm an avid blog follower to some). here's a few pics from the fair:
lil sprinkles
tine sparks design
kata golda
beyond wonderland (love the fabric)
forgot which booth this was....love the button earrings
future project: bookbinding (this guy put together old books and blank lined paper to make these)

one highlight of the fair was getting to meet susan at freshly picked. i've been following her blog for a while now and felt a little starstruck as i was looking at her booth. i was thinking about how i was going to talk to her when i overheard her and her boothmate talking about how people approach them. i felt a little weird, but mustered enough courage to talk to her. she was super nice. for the brief time i got to talk to her, i wanted to pick her brain for inspiration but came away happy to meet someone so nice and obliging to my questions. i didn't want to go away without one of her cute products and ended up with this one:
