travel map scrapbook - she also made one of thailand
love her digital scrapbook layouts
binder scrapbook journal
i have an unfinished scrapbook of pictures from 2007 that i should finish. i also wanted to scrapbook my dc trip in 2009 (pictures already printed out) that i never got around to. it's easier to just keep the pictures on my hard drive to look at since scrapbooking can be an expensive hobby. i rarely take pictures with my camera now since so many of my friends are like the paparazzi wanting to take pictures of everything and everyone. perhaps i might finish the scrapbooks, we'll see.

renegade craft fair

a couple of weeks ago, i went with a few friends to the renegade holiday craft fair in la. there weren't as many vendors as last time, but i had a lot of fun.

there were some fun things to do. we made our own grocery bags out of old t-shirts courtesy of hands-on 3rd. they had a vintage sewing machine powered by a bicycle.

we also decorated drawstring pouches with stamps and markers.

just like last year, magnolia photo booth was there again with a holiday theme.

several food trucks were there including fry smith.

while waiting for our fries, i met this interesting guy who bought the beard from i made you a beard.

renegade craft fair - LA

a few friends and i went to the renegade craft fair in LA a couple of saturdays ago. there was soooooo much to see that i could barely take any pictures. i was so amazed by all the creativity and felt a little weird taking pictures, even more weird and awkward asking about their inspiration and blogs (since i'm an avid blog follower to some). here's a few pics from the fair:
lil sprinkles
tine sparks design
kata golda
beyond wonderland (love the fabric)
forgot which booth this was....love the button earrings
future project: bookbinding (this guy put together old books and blank lined paper to make these)

one highlight of the fair was getting to meet susan at freshly picked. i've been following her blog for a while now and felt a little starstruck as i was looking at her booth. i was thinking about how i was going to talk to her when i overheard her and her boothmate talking about how people approach them. i felt a little weird, but mustered enough courage to talk to her. she was super nice. for the brief time i got to talk to her, i wanted to pick her brain for inspiration but came away happy to meet someone so nice and obliging to my questions. i didn't want to go away without one of her cute products and ended up with this one:
